The desktop till runs on the counter computer and keeps selling when the internet is down. Everything syncs with your back office when the connection is back.
Install
- On the counter computer, open Download and press Download for Windows.
- Run the file. If Windows shows a blue "Windows protected your PC" box, press More info and then Run anyway.
- On first launch enter your licence key, your email and your password, and press Activate & Sign In.
Your business, products, customers and staff load onto the computer. This is the only step that needs the internet.
Working offline
- Sales, receipts, shifts and the cash-up all work offline.
- Changes that must agree everywhere (staff, quotations and invoices, removing customers) are saved in the back office first, so the till asks for the internet for those.
Updates
The till checks for updates by itself and asks before installing. Updates never touch your sales or settings.
If the screen ever goes blank or blue, the till now reloads by itself. If it keeps happening, use Help → Blank screen? Turn off hardware acceleration.
