When the plan ends: grace period and offline tills

What happens on the website and on desktop tills when a paid period or trial ends.

The rules

  • Monthly and yearly plans: selling continues for 7 days after the paid period ends (the grace period). After that, selling pauses on the website and on every desktop till, even without internet.
  • Free trial: selling stops when the trial ends. A trial belongs to the computer: reinstalling the till does not start a new trial.
  • Lifetime licence: never ends.
  • Your records stay available: reports, sales history, customers and products can still be viewed and exported. Nothing is deleted.

Renew

  1. Open Billing → Payments and pay by EFT, then upload the proof of payment.
  2. When the payment is approved, selling resumes on the website at once.
  3. Connect each desktop till to the internet once and let it sync. It then sells again, also offline.

The computer's clock

The desktop till checks the plan by the latest date it has seen, and corrects it from our server on every sync. Setting the Windows clock back does not extend a plan. If the clock is wrong, the till shows a red notice: set the correct date and time in Windows.

Sales made offline

Sales made while the plan was valid are always kept and sent to the back office when the till comes back online, even after the plan has ended.

Reminders are sent 7, 3 and 1 day before renewal, and shown in the back office.
